Dark-Elf Photoshoot

Back in March I had my probably biggest photoshoot so far. It began as a collaboration with photographer Christian Sanchez (IG: @csphotography572), who I had met at a workshop earlier this year. He was interested in doing a studio shoot with a model, and asked if I would like to host and join the shoot. I was more than happy to and we immediately started exchanging ideas. Pretty quickly we settled on the theme of having our model dressed as a Dark-elf.

As model Christian brought in the very talented and beautiful Sakura (IG: @sako.pics.52) who he had collaborated with before. He also organised the costumes that were lent to us by Ephemeral Enchantment (IG: @ephemeralenchantment).
It was also clear, that for this project we would need a Hair and Make-up artist. A while back a friend and model of mine had introduced me to Hai Phong Nguyen (IG: @antiphong), who did an amazing job transforming Sakura into an beautiful and truly dark elf in the course of three hours.

Since the shoot happened at my place on a Sunday, also my husband joined in as a third photographer and took pictures with his analogue camera. You can check out his work here.

In the future I am planing to write a little bit more about my set-up for photoshoots, but for this time let me just note that I used three different continuous lights, playing with colors and their precise set-up.

We also used a variety of props, from flowers to pumpkin seed oil, and the shoot took about another three to four hours.

It was a great experience to get to work with those amazing, lovely and kind people!

I also handed some of my photos in to Marika Magazine, who published them in their Issue 4944 - Fantasy - April 2024.
