My name is Katharina D. Weilnböck and I am a photographer based in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

I was born and raised in Austria where I visited a Music High School, did my BSc and studied Theoretical Physics until I moved to Japan in 2016.

Living in Tokyo I found my enthusiasm for yoga and fitness and became a Yoga Teacher and Health Coach. This way I first discovered my love for working with people.

Photography has been a passion of mine throughout. I had my camera with me every step of the way, taking pictures of travel locations, wildlife, people,…
And when in 2020 a photograph of mine was published in Sumikai and Neut Magazine, I discovered that I am actually good at this, and began to consider making it a career.
Since then I have put a lot of time into refining my skills. I took classes, visited workshops and have worked with various models and clients. Photos of mine have been published internationally online and in print magazines, and I have even held a beginners photography workshop myself.

My main focus now is portrait photography. I enjoy getting to know the models, musicians and clients I work with, and to learn about their ideas and visions for our photographs. My goal is always to create lasting art that will be appreciated by everyone who has been working on it.
